Our History and Experience

Our parents, who inherited this craft as a legacy, have been working in Sri Muktsar Sahib since 1977. Their roots trace back to the Alwar district (Rajasthan) and the Rewari district (Haryana), while their ancestors were connected to historic Punjab (Pakistan). The art of jutti-making is in our blood, and PHA has a profound understanding of its evolution from ancient times to the modern era. We take pride in our community heritage and expertise, and we are honored to preserve India’s unique cultural legacy.

PHA’s Knowledge of Punjabi Jutti

Since 1977, we have witnessed Punjabi jutti evolve into diverse styles. Structurally, there are two types:

*”Sidhhi” (Straight/One-Sided):* Traditionally the primary style.

*”Lak-Maarvi” or “Lakki” (Joint-in-Middle/Two-Sided):* This style gained prominence later.

Today, both styles coexist. PHA has complete expertise in crafting both types — from minimalist designs to ornate tilla (metallic threadwork) and intricate phulkari (traditional Punjabi embroidery) jutti.
